Oxfam Launched its Global Campaign “GROW!”

The food prices could double in the next twenty years and the global demand may increase 70% by 2050, the charity Oxfam warned in a report released Tuesday.

The document denounces that the food supply system is currently failing, citing threats to food production, the exhaustion of natural resources and the consequences of climate change.

Oxfam launched Wednesday a global campaign entitled “GROW”. This, says Oxfam to raise awareness about food, its accessibility, its high cost, problems related to production and marketing, and the widening gap between population growth and increasing agricultural production.
