Chongqing to build more bridges

Chongqing Development and Reform Commission has approved the preliminary work for Baijusi Yangtze River Bridge and Baoshan Jialing River Bridge on August 13, 2013.

During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the main urban districts will start construction of Yangtze River bridges in Cuntan, Guojiatuo and Baijusi. And Jialing River Bridges in Hongyancun, Shuitu, Lijia, Baoshan, and Gaojia Garden Multiple-track Bridge.

Baijusi Yangtze River Bridge will be 800m long, 44m wide, dual way and 6-lane, with the total investment of 2 billion yuan, connecting Lijiatuo of Ba’nan District with Dadukou District.

Baoshan Jialing River Bridge, also called the Second Jiayue Bridge, is to join Caijia, Yuelai and Konggang (Airport Development Area), it will be 3.3km long and 39m wide. It will conform under the relevant standards of an urban expressway with a speed of 80km/h.
