Vietnam and China tighten their partnership and cooperation

The official visit of the Vietnam Communist Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong from October 11 to 15 in China, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation from Vietnam, was successful, said Hoang Binh Quan, head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the CPV CC, in an interview with the Viet Nam News Agency (VNA).

In the interview, Hoang Binh Quan announced that both parties had issued a joint statement expressing the common views of Vietnamese and Chinese senior leaders on the relationship between the two parties and two countries and the major guidelines to make deep, stable and lasting relations of strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation.

The two sides agreed on the direction and content, integral measurements, practical and effective to promote the strategic partnership and comprehensive Vietnam-China cooperation.

During the visit, both sides have signed six major documents including the cooperation between the two parties for the next five years, the agreement on the guiding principles of settlement of the sea issues. They officially opened a red telephone between the leaders of both countries.
